Feel free to use the resources below as you wish. Broadcast-quality video excerpts of the show, and behind-the-scenes footage, are available by request. If you'd like to interview me for your publication or show, send me an email and I'll get back to you right away.

Here's some general information about me and the show:

John Romeo is the creator and host of "The Romeo Theater," an online show featuring short films. Each show features a film by an independent director (sometimes Romeo himself) who shares a little bit about the story behind it--how it was made or where the idea came from.

Now in its fourth year, you can watch The Romeo Theater at www.romeo-theater.com, or you can subscribe to it as a video podcast at the Apple iTunes Store. For four months, The Romeo Theater was featured prominently at the iTunes Store as a "Featured Video Podcast" selected by Apple.

The Romeo Theater has been featured in the national press, and was selected as an Official Honoree in the 11th Annual Webby Awards. The Romeo-directed "RED," from show #35, was featured at the Rappahannock Independent Film Festival, and was selected as a "Best of Project Resolution" film, a local honor in Richmond, VA. In 2007, Romeo's "Fun Size" was selected for the Pixelodeon Festival at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles.

Romeo set up a channel on YouTube after being invited to participate in the pilot program for their revenue-sharing program. YouTube has selected a number of Romeo Theater movies, including RED, to feature in the 'Promoted Videos' section of their homepage. Romeo was a guest at 2007's Video on the Net Conference in San Jose, and was featured in a panel discussion at The Art of Noise Conference in Richmond. Romeo grew up in Buffalo, NY, majoring in Design at Buffalo State College. After dabbling in video production throughout college, he screened his feature "The Romeo Productions Hour" at BSC's Rockwell Hall. It also became the first student-produced movie broadcasted on the school's cable system. After graduating in 1997, Romeo moved to Richmond, VA, opening a small video production company, John Romeo Productions, in 2004. The first Romeo Theater show was posted online February 15, 2006.
