Most students have an art show to fulfill a academic requirement. I had an art show because I was bored -- oh, and I had already graduated.
The theme of my show was best explained in the artist's statement:
Welcome to my art show. It's not like most gallery exhibitions you'll see this semester. I don't need to point out that there are no frames. And there are a lot of visible corrections in the atwork itself: white ink, paste ups, tape marks. I don't know what to tell ya... This is the business of commercial art.
Commercial art is only valuable if it looks good when it is reproduced.
Most of the pieces in this gallery were designed to be shrunk down in size and reproduced. Imperfections in the original piece don't matter, as long as they aren't visible when the piece is printed.
The work here is in its rawest form, which may give you a better appreciation for the final product. I hope you like it. If not...
I don't know what to tell ya.

The work was divided into four sections:
OK... I Am a Graphic Designer!
This was my graphic design work. After all, I studied Graphic Design for 5 years.
Always Maintain First Rights!
This was my illustration work. Our illustration teacher was adamant about using proper business procedures.
I Used to Know Girls.
Most of the work in this section can be seen in the "illustration gallery" of this web site.
Remember Me?!?
All the SuperSenior comics that were printed in The Record. This section was by far everyone's favorite.

Since I live in Virginia now, I missed Tony's art show. So I drew this and sent it to him after it was over. (Tony doesn't like it when I draw his character.)
